Job Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily production schedules to meet established targets.
- Oversee shop floor operations including machining, assembly, testing, and packaging processes.
- Optimize the use of manpower, machinery, and materials for efficient production.
- Track production output and take measures to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with departments such as Quality, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch to synchronize production efforts.
- Verify that all products comply with quality standards prior to dispatch.
- Analyze rejection rates, rework, and production losses and enforce corrective measures.
- Maintain detailed production documentation including reports, work orders, and daily logs.
- Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules for machinery.
- Implement and sustain 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing principles within operations.
- Provide training and guidance to operators and technicians on production workflows and standard operating procedures.
- Uphold safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing production environment; fresh graduates will also be considered.
- Proficient in production planning and managing shop floor activities.
- Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM).
- Basic knowledge of machine tools.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Thread Gauges.
- Competent in using MS Excel and ERP software.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Automobile Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ceramics, or Manufacturing Engineering to be eligible.
