About Accompany Health
Accompany Health is focused on delivering respectful, high-quality care to patients with complex needs who often do not receive the support they deserve. The organization combines primary care, behavioral care, and social care, with services available at home, virtually, and through 24/7 support. It partners with innovative payors and relies on strong care teams, practical technology, and evidence-based methods to improve patient outcomes.
The company builds long-term relationships so patients can rely on support day and night, year after year. Its approach centers on the outcomes patients value most and aims to place patients at the center of care decisions. Accompany Health works with community organizations, local providers, and health plans to help address long-standing gaps in care delivery. Although the headquarters is in Bethesda, Maryland, the team is distributed across the United States.
Role Overview
As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in a fast-growing organization and its expanding product portfolio. You will collaborate with product, engineering, clinical operations, and other business teams to identify the most important problems, align on solutions, and support successful launches. Your work will help improve access to care and the delivery of services for people with significant healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities
You will own a product area and manage competing priorities to create meaningful impact. The product scope may include tools that support patient engagement in the care model, including scheduling software. You will also bring together stakeholders from engineering, data, clinical operations, finance, strategy, and growth to build alignment and move decisions forward. A major part of the role is translating product trade-offs for both technical and non-technical audiences and representing the product in cross-functional discussions.
On the execution side, you will gather business requirements from stakeholders, evaluate whether to build or buy solutions when needed, and lead implementation of selected software. This includes integrating complex data flows with the company’s core in-house platform. You will work closely with design and engineering to refine items for development, participate in sprint planning and execution, and help prioritize roadmap work across the product and engineering teams. You may also take on additional duties as assigned.
What Success Looks Like
The ideal candidate approaches the work with humility and understands that care models must adapt to the needs of patients with complex conditions. You should demonstrate strong empathy for patients, clinicians, and colleagues, and be motivated to help change how care is delivered for underserved communities. You will need to bring diverse stakeholders to alignment, form thoughtful opinions based on data and information, and remain flexible when facts or circumstances change.
This role also calls for a practical, outcome-oriented mindset, comfort with difficult and messy healthcare problems, and a willingness to work in a startup environment where priorities may shift frequently.
Experience and Skills
The role requires at least 3 years of experience in product management or a closely related area such as engineering. You must be an exceptionally clear communicator in both spoken and written form. Prior exposure to healthcare delivery is preferred, and familiarity with value-based care is also an advantage.
Medical Clearance and Equal Opportunity
For patient-facing roles, employment is conditional on meeting medical clearance requirements. These include completing a TB screening and providing proof of immunity or vaccination for certain conditions. Exceptions are made where required by law, and accommodations for religious and medical reasons are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Accompany Health is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.
Hiring Process Notice
The company may use AI tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or checking for inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials. These tools assist recruiters but do not replace human judgment, and final hiring decisions are made by people. Applicants who want more information about how their data is processed can contact the company directly.
Compensation
The base salary for this full-time role is between $130,000 and $155,000, plus equity and benefits. Pay within the range depends on location and other factors such as skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The company can provide the specific range for a preferred location during the hiring process.
