Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Designer with 2-3 years of professional experience to enhance our Product & Design team. This position involves creating high-quality design outputs utilizing conventional design tools, AI-augmented processes, or a hybrid approach. The designer will collaborate closely with the Director of Product Design and Senior Product Designer, focusing on feature development, interface design, prototyping, and upkeep of our design system within RegASK's product lineup. Embedded in a cross-functional team operating on a quarterly release cycle, you will partner with product managers and software engineers. This role offers meaningful ownership of assigned tasks complemented by guidance and support from seasoned designers. A solid understanding of user challenges, business priorities, and cross-team context, along with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce UI screens, user flows, and prototypes aligned with RegASK's design standards, leveraging tools like Figma and AI-assisted technologies to deliver efficient, high-caliber results.
• Interpret design briefs into polished, precise, and high-fidelity user interfaces.
• Develop functional prototypes to test concepts and clarify interaction intentions.
• Ensure comprehensive consideration of edge cases, including empty, error, and loading states, as well as responsive behavior, for thorough engineering handoffs.
• Rapidly iterate designs based on feedback from reviews.
• Utilize existing components from the RegASK design system accurately and consistently.
• Contribute new components and their variants as directed, following naming and documentation protocols.
• Identify inconsistencies or deficiencies within the design system and recommend improvements.
• Engage actively in sprint ceremonies such as planning, review, and retrospectives.
• Prepare organized and detailed design files for engineering handoff, including specifications, annotations, and interaction notes.
• Review implemented user interfaces against designs to identify discrepancies during quality assurance.
• Collaborate with engineers to address design implementation queries during development.
• Communicate effectively when scheduling conflicts or priority shifts arise.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in professional product or UX design within SaaS or digital products.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, including mastery of components, auto-layout, variants, and prototyping features.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted design and prototyping tools to optimize workflows.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and awareness of front-end development limitations.
• Strong foundation in user experience principles such as user flows, information architecture, interaction patterns, and fundamental accessibility standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SaaS offerings, enterprise software, or regulatory/compliance products.
• Familiarity with interfaces featuring complex data displays, including dashboards, tables, filters, and sophisticated forms.
• Background working with established, token-driven design systems.
