About the Role
Join Large Space Structures GmbH and work on groundbreaking projects in the field of large deployable antenna technologies across Europe and worldwide. As a Product Assurance (PA) Engineer, you will contribute to multiple projects involving inspections, non-conformance reports, and failure analyses to maintain and enhance product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product assurance activities throughout the development and manufacturing phases.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to uphold product quality and ensure compliance.
- Lead and support root cause analyses and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions within the non-conformity process framework.
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as ECSS, ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485.
- Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to anticipate and mitigate potential product failures.
- Supervise product testing and validation procedures ensuring compatibility with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with both internal and external audit processes.
- Create, update, and maintain essential documentation including inspection plans, test protocols, and qualification reports.
- Contribute actively to continuous improvement efforts within the organization.
- Manage internal Non-Conformance Reports (NRB), material review reports (MRRs), and test review reports (TRRs).
- Participate in project milestone reviews such as Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and Qualification Review (QR).
Candidate Profile
- Proven expertise applying standards relevant to the European space sector (ESA-ECSS, NASA) and comprehensive knowledge of space quality standards including their preparation and execution.
- A Master's degree in engineering or related technical sciences is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in product assurance or quality assurance engineering within European space or aerospace industries.
- Deep understanding of product assurance, safety, quality management, and ECSS standards.
- Experience with configuration management, quality auditing, or certification as an assessor is advantageous.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in German is a plus but not required.
- Competence in documentation control, design review procedures, and sign-offs.
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, flexible, eager to learn, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage pressure and meet tight deadlines effectively.
