Overview
This position entails complete oversight of the procurement cycle, encompassing the creation and management of purchase requests and orders, along with ensuring on-time receipt of goods and services. Responsibilities extend to supplier identification and assessment, aiding contract negotiations, and upkeep of vendor records consistent with organizational policies and compliance standards.
Daily Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and asset conditions.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs for organizational properties.
- Ensure efficient utilization of office spaces, facilities, and equipment.
- Track procurement and property-related budgets and craft regular operational reports.
- Work closely with finance, operations, and other internal departments to streamline organizational processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in procurement processes including purchase orders and end-to-end procurement management.
- Competence in evaluating suppliers and managing vendor relationships focusing on dependability, cost efficiency, and adherence to standards.
- Experience in contract negotiation involving drafting, reviewing, and administration of supplier and service contracts.
- Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate bids, oversee expenses, optimize inventory, and develop procurement and property management reports.
- Background in property or facility management including asset tracking, maintenance scheduling, and space coordination.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and policies, ideally within regulated industries or financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Logistics.
- Proficiency with common office software and procurement or asset management platforms, complemented by excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capability to function effectively in a hybrid team environment and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Fluent professional English, with additional knowledge of Ethiopian local languages being beneficial.
