Role Overview
The Procurement Administrator position is a part-time on-site role located in Dún Laoghaire. This role is responsible for supporting the entire procurement workflow including creating and managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier databases, and monitoring delivery schedules and lead times.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and suppliers to secure materials, furnishings, and services punctually and within budget. Daily duties will include updating procurement timelines, reconciling order records, conducting administrative tasks such as accurate data entry and document filing, and responding to both internal and external inquiries.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with cost analysis, preparing basic reports, and contributing to process improvements aimed at enhancing procurement efficiency to support seamless project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in procurement processes including sourcing, supplier liaison, and purchase order administration.
- Strong administrative skills featuring precise data entry, effective document control, and organizational proficiency.
- Analytical capabilities to evaluate quotes, compare expenses, and assist in budget monitoring and reporting.
- Clear, professional communication aptitude suitable for interaction with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, along with familiarity with procurement or ERP systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic project setting.
- Previous procurement, supply chain, or project administration experience in design, construction, or related sectors is advantageous.
- Desirable qualifications include certifications or degrees in business, supply chain management, administration, or comparable fields.
