Role Overview
Tata Electronics is looking for a Process Technician to support SMT operations at the Kolar site. The role focuses on keeping production running smoothly, addressing process interruptions quickly, and helping improve line performance through careful monitoring and problem-solving.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt support during SMT shifts so production continues without disruption, and resolve line-process issues as they arise.
- Track important performance measures such as yield and cycle time, study any gaps or variations, and work with the team on improvement actions.
- Assist in examining process defects using issue tracking reports and the 8D problem-solving approach, and help with root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Take immediate corrective steps when possible, or escalate significant issues to the subject-matter expert.
- Make quick decisions on how to handle performance deviations in the moment.
- Suggest corrective and preventive actions, then check whether those actions are effective.
Education and Experience
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred, especially in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or another closely related field, or an equivalent educational background. The expected experience level is 7 to 10 years.

This position is based onsite in Kolar, Karnataka, India and is offered as a full-time role.
