College Group was established in 1989 and now runs operations across three modern facilities located in Nobber, County Meath; Monnery, County Cavan; and Newry, County Down.
Role Overview
The company is looking for a motivated Process Operator to join the Production Team at the Rendering Plant in Nobber. This position plays an important role in day-to-day operations by helping improve efficiency and supporting the achievement of key performance indicators. The schedule follows an 8-hour shift pattern covering days and nights, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Use the production PLC system to manage production activity, capture information, and create reports.
- Flag operational issues to the production supervisor as soon as they are identified.
- Work towards meeting process output targets and KPI goals.
- Pass on essential information during shift handovers.
- Collect product samples and deliver them to the laboratory for quality control checks.
- Carry out general site upkeep, cleaning, equipment checks, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Comply with all on-site safety procedures and regulations set by the HSA and other relevant authorities.
Experience and Skills Needed
Candidates should be able to plan and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Strong computer literacy, careful attention to detail, and clear communication skills are important for this role.
Work Schedule
This is an 8-hour shift role with rotating day and night coverage, and weekend work will be part of the rota.
