About the Role

Derbyshire Support & Facilities Services Limited (DSFS) is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of A+E / EMU Porter based primarily at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. This full-time role involves working 37.5 hours per week, following a shift pattern that covers 16 hours per day, seven days a week, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely escorting patients and visitors within the hospital premises.
• Transporting patients using appropriate methods to various hospital departments as needed.
• Handling duties related to the transfer of deceased persons to the mortuary.
• Cleaning domestic waste equipment and maintaining storage areas.
• Collecting bagged soiled linen regularly.
• Managing the collection and distribution of various items such as stores, medical gases, laundry, and medical notes.
• Collecting and delivering blood products from Pathology services.
