Role Overview

This freelance position seeks an expert in insurance claims and operations to support AI system workflows by translating real insurance processes into structured tasks, evaluating AI outputs, and analyzing related data.

Key Responsibilities

Convert practical insurance workflows into structured tasks for AI applications.
Assess AI-generated results for correctness, logical coherence and domain accuracy.
Engage with use cases spanning claims review, underwriting assessments, policy administration, and risk evaluation.
Examine claims data, policy documents, and risk reports to pinpoint patterns, risks, and opportunities.
Thoroughly document assumptions, reasoning, and decisions taken during tasks.
Offer feedback aimed at enhancing AI system performance and output quality.

Required Qualifications

Extensive experience in insurance operations, particularly claims management, underwriting, policy handling, subrogation, or risk analysis.
Demonstrated expertise in at least three areas such as claims adjudication, underwriting, policy administration, subrogation, or risk evaluation.
Between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies combined with excellent detail orientation and communication skills.

Work Environment and Expectations

The role functions mostly asynchronously, providing flexible work scheduling.
Minimal mandatory meetings; usually optional office hours once or twice weekly.
Daily collaboration is conducted using Slack and internal digital tools.
Candidates are expected to maintain consistent engagement and proactive progress communication.

Additional Information

Compensation ranges from $100 to $125 per hour (USD).
Minimum weekly commitment is 10 hours, with a preference for 20 or more hours.
Immediate start with rapid onboarding anticipated within approximately 24 hours.
