Job Overview

The Plant President will spearhead leadership efforts by crafting and executing strategic plans aimed at continuous enhancement of personnel, processes, technology, and organizational culture. This role is responsible for overseeing employee development, equipment utilization, safety standards, and other critical business metrics. Collaboration with site leaders and corporate executives is key to improving operational outcomes and achieving strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive consistent improvements in sales pipeline, safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction across all processes.
• Manage profit and loss for assigned facilities including budget creation and oversight of capital and operational expenditures.
• Enhance employee performance through ongoing leadership in education and training initiatives.
• Develop and sustain succession plans to ensure continuity for all essential roles.
• Guide department managers to promote continuous operational improvements within their domains.
• Lead and oversee local plant sales efforts, including strategic planning and daily tactical engagement with leads and clients to maintain an effective sales pipeline.
• Coordinate with company sales representatives from various channels to retain and attract customers.
• Regularly review and report on manufacturing activities, performance metrics, and outcomes.
• Initiate corrective actions to resolve issues impacting schedules, costs, materials, quality, safety, service, and productivity.
• Maintain transparent communication with plant staff and corporate personnel to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulations from OSHA, EPA, EEO, and other governmental bodies.
• Provide regular performance reports to corporate leadership.
• Advise on hiring, termination, promotion, transfers, training, and salary adjustments for plant employees.
• Motivate teams to meet departmental goals and production schedules effectively and timely.
• Champion continuous process improvements to surpass all customer expectations, both internal and external.
• Perform additional related duties as required by business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven capability to lead diverse teams encompassing both sales and operations personnel.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to guide and influence organizational change with empathy.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Passion for applying continuous improvement methodologies throughout the plant.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Graphic Arts, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of varied management experience within the printing sector or a similar manufacturing environment, with a track record of successfully leading operational teams.
• Experience managing sales teams is highly preferred.
• Expertise in Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies is strongly favored.

Additional Information

Salary for this position ranges from $117,000 to $188,400 annually, subject to adjustment based on the candidate’s location and other variables such as education, skills, and experience. Compensation packages may also include bonuses, commissions, or incentive pay.
