Role Overview

The Planning and Control Planner will manage various planning activities, focusing on production and inventory control, material resource planning, and process oversight to support manufacturing and engineering needs effectively.

  • Execute planning tasks covering production control, inventory management, process and shop floor control, and maintain integrity in Material Resources Planning (MRP).
  • Maintain and update SAP production order release schedules to ensure timely material availability.

  • Analyze variances in work orders and propose corrective measures.

  • Oversee the management and status reporting of Engineering Change Orders and Requests (ECOs/ECRs).
  • Participate in floor audits alongside Finance to address Work-in-Progress (WIP) issues.
  • Attend production meetings to report on material shortages and committed delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to handle materials for special projects.
  • Assist work centers with shop floor control as needed.
  • Analyze inventory consumption and stock levels to maintain target inventory and ensure service levels.
  • Expedite resolution of material shortages and forecast spare parts demand when applicable.
  • Investigate material variances, resolve operational challenges, and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Support the implementation or improvement of inventory management systems, including assigning expediting tasks.
  • Manage obsolete inventory by recommending effective disposition strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying root causes through PCI reporting and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support cycle counting efforts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct data analysis, forecasting, and ad hoc statistical evaluations using both structured and unstructured data.
  • Create dashboards and visual tools via Tableau to aid business decision-making.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and convert data into actionable insights using Python, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on projects related to data consolidation, reporting, and process enhancements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in English communication to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Individual contributor level role (B2/B3 level).
