Part-Time Groundskeeper

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team in the Greater Albany, Georgia area. This part-time, onsite position involves maintaining the beauty and safety of our community's outdoor spaces by performing landscaping, cleaning, and light maintenance tasks. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our property is welcoming and well-kept for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of the property to keep grounds free of litter and maintain cleanliness.
• Perform weather-related property care duties such as de-icing walkways and shoveling snow during winter to ensure safety.
• Maintain pool areas by cleaning decks, removing trash, and arranging furniture to uphold a resort-like environment.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, applying caulk, painting, and small repairs.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new occupants by removing trash, checking appliances, replacing smoke detector batteries, and ensuring units are move-in ready.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and comply with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and relevant local, state, and federal laws.
• Support additional community improvement projects and tasks as needed.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Genuine interest and enthusiasm for outdoor work and maintaining attractive landscapes.
• Basic maintenance knowledge, with familiarity in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is advantageous.
• Reliable team player with strong punctuality and efficient work habits.
• Effective communication skills to professionally interact with residents, colleagues, and management.
• Physical capability to lift at least 25 pounds, climb heights up to 40 feet, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Preference given to candidates with up to one year of groundskeeping experience.
• Competence in operating lawn maintenance equipment and tools.
