Role Overview

This position sits within Engineering & Facilities at The Ritz-Carlton in Doha, Qatar. The role is focused on preparing, coating, finishing, and maintaining surfaces across the property to uphold the brand’s quality and presentation standards. The job is a full-time, non-management position based on site.

What You Will Do

• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and similar finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or comparable tools.
• Prepare new surfaces by applying primers or sealers before finishing coats are added.
• Strip, sand, wire-brush, burn off, or use water and abrasive blasting methods to remove existing finishes.
• Protect surrounding areas and surfaces with suitable coverings while painting work is underway, and place warning signs where needed.
• Clean and safely store paints, tools, and painting equipment after use.
• Work with vendors to adjust or modify paint, stain, or varnish colors when required.
• Follow company procedures for safety, security, and incident reporting, including maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries.
• Complete required safety training and any certifications assigned to the role.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company property.
• Deliver courteous service to guests, support colleagues, and help the team meet shared goals and quality standards.
• Perform physical tasks that include bending, reaching, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, and standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Background

Candidates should have a technical, trade, or vocational school qualification and at least one year of relevant work experience. No supervisory background is needed, and no license or certification is required for the role.
