Location and Company
This position is based in Edgerton, Kansas at The Hershey Company's Dot's Pretzels facility, a brand known for high-quality pretzels reflecting a home-made standard. The team values strong relationships and a family-like atmosphere during a period of substantial growth.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage starts at $20.25, with potential for a $1.00 increase after six months of satisfactory employment.

Work Schedule
- Shift: B Shift, 12 hours per day from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Working days rotate weekly between Wednesday and Thursday through Saturday.

Role Overview and Duties
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the building and equipment in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule. Responsibilities include executing sanitation projects, managing cleaning supplies and tools, and adhering to safety and food safety programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to FDA health and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain consistent attendance.
- Understand safety protocols for equipment operation and cleaning.
- Communicate effectively for external support when necessary.
- Follow verbal and manual instructions for cleaning procedures.
- Inspect and sustain overall facility cleanliness.
- Manage workload to ensure timely completion of sanitation tasks.
- Keep detailed records of food contact equipment cleaning.
- Ensure cleaning tools and chemicals are organized and sufficiently stocked.
- Comply with Food Safety Management and company Safety Programs.
- Complete assigned training programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
- Experience in sanitation roles, preferably within food processing environments.
- Capability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly and sustain prolonged standing, bending, and twisting during shifts.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels typical of food production and warehouses.
