About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and execution-driven Operations & Supply Chain Manager to oversee the core daily operations of AION Biosystems. This role is crucial to scaling device logistics, managing supplier relationships, ensuring inventory precision, and enabling operational growth across multiple geographies.
Key Duties
- Oversee comprehensive device logistics operations including procurement, assembly (kitting), distribution, and handling returns.
- Coordinate shipments efficiently to clinics, distributors, and direct-to-patient programs.
- Enhance fulfillment processes to accommodate rapid scale expansion across diverse regions.
- Monitor key operational performance indicators such as order accuracy, delivery schedules, and device usage.
- Maintain real-time accurate inventory tracking across warehouses, distributors, and internal platforms.
- Implement inventory control procedures like cycle counting, reconciliation, and demand forecasting.
- Collaborate with finance for inventory valuation and reporting purposes.
- Prevent stock shortages and overstock situations through proactive inventory planning.
- Manage key vendor relationships including manufacturers, logistics partners, and component suppliers.
- Assess vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Support sourcing and onboarding processes for new vendors during scaling.
- Ensure compliance with AION’s operational and quality standards among vendors.
- Develop and refine operational workflows and processes to support rapid business growth.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable, effective solutions.
- Assist expansion efforts into additional sites, regions, and distribution models.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics, preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or related sectors.
- Proficient with inventory management systems and operational tracking tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Preferred experience includes device distribution at scale and familiarity with ERP or inventory software such as MRPEasy, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Prior exposure to startup or high-growth companies is desirable.
