Role overview
Cable Plus is a distributor of low-voltage and communications cable, networking products, and related equipment for contractors and businesses across the region. The company is expanding and is hiring an Operations Coordinator to support the daily flow of work across operations, including accounts payable, reporting, and routine administrative tasks. This position is a strong entry-level opportunity for someone who is organized, curious, and interested in learning how distribution and operations work.
Key responsibilities
- Handle vendor invoices and payment processing, making sure records are accurate and turnaround times are met.
- Create operational and inventory reports, and analyze data to help guide decisions.
- Support the operations team with administrative work such as preparing documents and maintaining records.
- Work closely with the operations team to spot process gaps and assist in resolving everyday issues.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has strong organizational habits, pays close attention to detail, communicates clearly, and takes initiative. Comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is important, along with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required; a 4-year college degree is preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in office, administrative, or similar support work.
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive attitude and openness to learning new procedures and systems.
