Job Purpose
The Accounting Officer is responsible for handling accounting operations linked to domestic and international cargo revenue. This position involves processing invoices, recognizing revenue appropriately, and ensuring all activities comply with relevant contracts and regulations. The role contributes to the accuracy of financial reports and ensures timely revenue realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Precisely recognize cargo revenue by validating necessary documentation and applying relevant accounting principles.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely submission of all documents required to support credit sales claims.
- Execute timely billing and revenue recognition activities for the assigned region in accordance with monthly and quarterly financial close schedules.
- Assist with documentation preparation for audits, reviews, or regulatory submissions.
- Perform administrative duties to support document control processes.
- Collaborate with sales, billing, and collections teams to facilitate smooth revenue recognition and cash application processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience ranging from no prior experience up to four years in a similar accounting or finance role.
