Night Porter

Role Overview

The Night Porter at Hotel du Vin, Winchester, is crucial in managing hotel operations overnight, typically from sundown until sunrise. This hands-on position involves overseeing guest services and maintaining brand standards throughout the night shift.

Key Duties

• Manage the Food & Beverage Department during nighttime hours.
• Greeting and assisting guests in a warm and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of public spaces, including cleaning and prepping meeting and event rooms for the following day.
• Support guests with their luggage and respond to enquiries promptly.
• Conduct nightly Health and Safety inspections to ensure compliance.

Work Schedule and Environment

The position requires working four nights per week, with flexible shifts available to accommodate various needs. The hotel operates every day of the year, with peak activity in evenings and weekends. Contracted hours and shift patterns will be discussed during the hiring process.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Experience working night shifts is mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities are essential.
