Project Overview
Join the team responsible for a critical portfolio management platform within a leading Swiss investment bank. You will help maintain and enhance a mature, high-performance production system, while contributing to the increase of team efficiency by developing shared tools and implementing best practices.
Role and Responsibilities
As a member of the Discretionary Crew within the Save, Protect & Grow my Investments Stream in the Technology division located in Zurich, you will support performance analysis and reporting efforts that aid client advisory sales. Your role as an IT Software Engineer involves the modernization of the Performance Analysis and Reporting System. The team builds and maintains the delegated Investment Management module on the One Investment Platform, which operates globally across various locations.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience with client-focused development using .NET C# particularly with WPF MVVM.
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET technology.
- Strong grasp of three-tiered architecture for application development.
- Proven capability to design, plan, and deliver solutions within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Competency using artificial intelligence tools within development workflows.
- Additional coding skills in Java and SQL are strongly beneficial.
- Knowledge of DevExpress, Syncfusion libraries, application design and architecture, as well as relational databases is advantageous.
- Experience working within agile methodologies, including source control (git), code review practices, scrum/issue tracking tools (Jira or GitLab), and documentation platforms like Confluence or Wiki.
- Practical familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for development, packaging, and releases.
- Fluent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language skills are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or related field.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Develop technological solutions aimed at solving business challenges and advancing digital leadership within financial services.
- Assess business needs for delegated Investment Management and design sustainable, modern programming language-based solutions.
- Offer technical expertise and guidance in evaluating new software initiatives to enhance existing applications.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, application architecture, and various SDLC phases.
- Ensure operational controls and procedures are properly established for seamless transition from testing environments to production.
- Understand software design patterns and industry best practices for building highly available systems.
