Role Overview
We are seeking a National Account Manager to oversee key strategic customers, particularly in the Drug/Sephora segment. This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams such as Trade Marketing, Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, and Product Development, as well as external partners including Category Managers, Directors of Multi-Category Merchandising, buyers, and marketing teams. The primary responsibility is to deliver and exceed annual sales objectives within assigned accounts and territories by developing strategic plans that align brand and customer goals for mutual profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by exceeding budget targets through strategic customer plans that expand distribution, introduce new product innovations, manage promotional efforts, and adjust tactics as necessary.
- Enhance profitability by increasing top-line sales, minimizing operational expenditures, and optimizing return on investment in trade and markdown spending.
- Increase brand market share by entering new markets and customers, replacing competitors’ products in existing retail accounts, and establishing strong brand positioning within each category.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team including broker oversight and direct collaboration with retailers, fostering talent and strategic success.
- Maintain precise weekly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) forecasts by tracking SKU movement, accounting for promotional impacts, and monitoring customers’ weeks of supply.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive customer and regional reports for internal and external stakeholders, including weekly POS data, syndicated analytics, New Product Development tracking, holiday sales, and special analyses.
- Helm internal planning initiatives by creating, evaluating, and executing profitable strategic opportunity briefs and promotional plans.
- Anticipate and address customer needs in meetings by integrating internal objectives, organizing effective cadences, and following up with clear actions.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of demonstrated sales experience with a focus on national account management.
- Proven expertise in managing brokers effectively.
- Proficient in setting, tracking, and achieving measurable sales goals.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
- Self-driven with a strong ambition to excel in sales.
- Excellent presentation and communication capabilities.
- Advanced computer and analytical skills.
