About the Position
The State Fire School Würzburg is seeking to fill multiple openings for fire service officers (m/f/d) at the 2nd qualification level, previously known as the intermediate fire service technical level, to serve as instructors at the earliest opportunity. The institution acts as a service provider and partner in the training of leadership and operational personnel for Bavarian fire departments.
Core Duties
- Planning and delivering both theoretical and practical lessons
- Engaging in duties within a specific subject area
- Inspecting and maintaining vehicles and equipment following exercises to restore operational readiness
- Assisting in the creation, revision, and updating of informational brochures, teaching guides, and other documents
Required Qualifications
- Completed training for the 2nd qualification level in the fire service (former intermediate fire service technical level)
- Preferably completed leadership training as a group leader for professional fire brigades (BIII)
- Full health suitability for fire service duties
Alternatively:
- A relevant and completed vocational training suitable for fire service including at least a successful secondary school degree
- Preferably completed training as a craftsman or industrial foreman
- Willingness to undertake the one-year training to become a fire commissioner according to FachV-Fw
- Meeting other requirements for fire commissioner candidate training, including citizenship from Germany or another EU member state, minimum height of 165 cm, fitness for fire service (respiratory protection suitability according to G26.3), possession of the German sports badge and swimming badge at least in bronze, driver’s license class B, and fulfilling civil servant legal prerequisites
- Successful participation in the selection examinations as per FachV-Fw
