Role Overview
We are looking for a Multilingual Data Annotation Project Manager on a one-year contract to oversee high-volume multilingual localization and quality assurance projects. This role acts as a critical link among client teams, linguistic reviewers, translation vendors, and internal talent to ensure timely delivery of flawless, culturally aligned multilingual assets.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle management of localization projects, including planning scope, managing resources, tracking timelines, and ensuring final delivery.
- Develop detailed project briefs, handoff documentation, quality guidelines, and progress tracking tools for global teams.
- Coordinate onboarding and engagement with in-country reviewers, freelance linguists, subject matter experts, and translation vendors.
- Collaborate with Quality Specialists to implement Linguistic Quality Assurance frameworks, scorecards, and assessment rubrics.
- Oversee project financials, including budgets and margins, ensuring compliance with key performance indicators.
- Conduct quality control checks, facilitate calibration sessions, and manage feedback loops to resolve linguistic discrepancies and enhance consistency.
- Act as the main operational liaison for clients, proactively managing risks and addressing delivery challenges.
Requirements
- Demonstrated project management experience in fast-paced, client-facing settings within translation or localization sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of localization workflows, internationalization readiness, and translation quality evaluation methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Translation Management Systems and Computer-Assisted Translation tools such as Smartling, Phrase, XTM, or Crowdin.
- Ability to coordinate remote, diverse teams across multiple time zones.
- Experience managing project budgets, scopes, and financial monitoring.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and project management platforms like Jira and Confluence for error tracking and task management.
