- At least 2 years of experience in guiding, hosting, or hospitality.
- Working knowledge of maritime operations.
- Experience handling a small tender craft is preferred.
- Good understanding of Fiordland’s plants and wildlife.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Physical fitness and the ability to carry out heavy lifting.
- Comfort with wet weather and time spent outdoors.
Work pattern and lifestyle
The role follows a 7 days on, 7 days off pattern, with accommodation and daily life centered around the Mariner during your working period. This setup offers concentrated work time followed by personal time off to do as you choose.
