Job Role Summary

The Mechanical Completion Engineer will coordinate and oversee all mechanical completion activities, ensuring effective collaboration with various functions while managing related documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine contractual documents concerning mechanical completion to identify project requirements and constraints and actively participate in project review meetings.
• Confirm that engineering documents incorporate mechanical completion standards.
• Engage in project planning and scheduling efforts.
• Develop and update execution plans for mechanical completion, including personnel mobilization.
• Oversee the assembly of test packs (mechanical completion dossiers) in line with contractual mandates.
• Manage preparation of Mechanical Completion procedures, establish mechanical completion philosophies, and prepare checklists and related documentation for company approval.
• Administer Mechanical Completion software ensuring completeness of itemization data.
• Validate check data forms against identified items for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Construction and Fabrication teams, providing assistance as needed.
• Contribute to the HSE Plan related to Mechanical Completion activities.
• Plan and manage temporary logistics adhering to project scope, choosing appropriate tools and control methods.
• Attend project reviews to confirm adherence to mechanical completion requirements.
• Define and evaluate mechanical completion consumables and materials.
• Handle preparation and verification of Purchase Requisition and Technical Evaluations within responsibility.
• Support defining subcontractor scopes if required.
• Inspect and verify technical documents from Head Office Engineering, clients, and yard Production Engineering and Methods functions for conformity.
• Maintain interfaces with vendors’ representatives alongside relevant engineers and superintendents.
• Supervise inspections, checks, and testing to confirm quality and completeness in line with documentation, standards, and vendor instructions.
• Review mechanical completion dossiers and submit them for company certification.
• Collaborate with Yard Production Engineering Project Coordinator on vendor back charge notifications within scope.
• Plan and allocate workforce for punch list activities.
• Manage punch list categorization coordinating with multifunctional teams including engineering, construction, quality, hookup, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Ensure all punch list corrective actions are completed effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proficiency in English language is mandatory.
• Technical expertise in offshore platforms fabrication.
