Materials Operative - EBM

At our Beccles site, we invite a Materials Operative to ensure efficient material supply for production, supporting our commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and blend materials to meet production demands.
• Manage satellite hoppers for smooth workflow.
• Maintain stock control over colors and base materials in production and returns.
• Coordinate packaging material requirements with production teams.
• Process recycled materials by grinding obsolete stock and decorative items.
• Supervise silo deliveries when the Materials Supervisor is absent.
• Perform all necessary administrative tasks and reporting accurately.
• Keep all material, color, and packaging storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Adhere strictly to company quality standards and all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Demonstrate proactive and systematic completion of tasks daily.
• Undertake additional reasonable duties as requested by management.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should be self-motivated and responsible, comfortable working independently or collaboratively towards team goals. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a drive to challenge current procedures and pursue continual improvements. Flexibility in responding to changing work pressures and attention to detail in all responsibilities is vital. A focus on delivering excellent customer service, strong numerical skills, and basic computer proficiency are required. Candidates must be willing and able to perform all duties outlined following any necessary training.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced production environment is advantageous.
• Previous exposure to materials management within production is beneficial.
• A forklift license is desirable but not mandatory.
