Material Handler

Role overview

Avantor is hiring a Material Controller for its Athlone site on a full-time, on-site basis. The role sits within a laboratory-support setting, where you will help keep materials moving efficiently so scientific work and customer requirements are supported without interruption.

What the role involves

• Receive, handle, and control inventory in line with GMP standards and site procedures.
• Keep stock records accurate and make sure replenishment happens on time.
• Support lab operations by maintaining the right material availability and inventory levels.
• Deal with urgent or ad-hoc material needs and work with suppliers when necessary.
• Use equipment safely and comply with all operational and regulatory rules.
• Carry out administrative work connected to stock management and compliance.

What the company is looking for

• A dependable work history in warehouse, inventory, retail, hospitality, or a comparable setting.
• A positive attitude, strong effort, and familiarity with basic warehousing language and practices.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
• High school completion or an equivalent qualification is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are needed for commuting to Athlone.
