About the company

SportsPro has spent more than 15 years supporting the business side of sport by helping organisations understand change, share insight and adopt new ideas. It focuses on the global sports media and events space and aims to help the industry move toward a smarter and more sustainable future.

The wider sports sector is evolving quickly, with shifts in consumer behaviour and financial models affecting businesses of every size. SportsPro positions itself as a forward-looking partner for organisations that need to adapt and grow.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven marketer to join a well-known brand in sports media and events, with a primary focus on increasing audience engagement for digital subscription products. You will be part of a five-person team supporting acquisition, conversion and retention through multi-channel campaigns, creative delivery and performance optimisation informed by data.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead marketing activity for digital subscription products, supporting subscriber acquisition, prospect nurturing and member retention through clear and compelling communications.
  • Plan, build and run campaigns across email, social media, websites, paid media and partner channels using tools such as HubSpot, Canva and WordPress.
  • Manage webinar and whitepaper campaigns end to end, including planning, setup, audience selection, promotion, follow-up messaging and performance analysis.
  • Contribute to broader business marketing activity, including campaigns for the events portfolio that support audience growth, delegate engagement and commercial goals.
  • Develop persuasive copy for emails, landing pages, social content, advertising and other marketing materials, ensuring messaging is consistent and audience-focused.
  • Create polished marketing assets that support membership growth and wider commercial objectives.
  • Review campaign results using data and insight, identify improvement opportunities and recommend actions to strengthen acquisition, engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with marketing, editorial, commercial and product colleagues to ensure work is well planned, professionally delivered and aligned with business priorities.
  • Help strengthen the SportsPro brand by reaching new audiences, deepening existing relationships and clearly communicating product value.

About you

You will be a proactive marketing executive with broad marketing capability, a creative eye and a comfortable approach to analysis. The role suits someone who enjoys turning ideas into effective campaigns and wants to contribute to the growth of a digital product.

Skills and experience required

  • Well-rounded marketing knowledge, including the ability to plan, execute and improve multi-channel campaigns.
  • Understanding of acquisition and retention marketing, especially what encourages people to subscribe, engage and renew.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills for adapting messaging to different audiences and channels.
  • Good visual design judgement and the ability to produce professional, on-brand assets, ideally with Canva or similar tools.
  • Confidence working with data to evaluate performance, identify trends and suggest practical improvements.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several deadlines at once.
  • Clear communication and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Experience with HubSpot, WordPress and Canva is beneficial but not mandatory.

What we offer

  • A chance to work for a Sunday Times Best Place to Work, reflecting the strength of the people strategy and workplace culture.
  • Competitive annual pay, based on experience.
  • The opportunity to join a respected leader in the sector with a strong reputation for employee empowerment.
  • Ongoing training and coaching to support professional development and career growth.
  • Work within a high-quality team in a company that values support, progress, integrity and credibility.
  • Strong career progression prospects across the wider business for high performers as the company expands internationally.
  • An inspiring and inclusive hybrid-style workplace at WeWork Victoria, London, with a free barista, ping pong tables and social events.
  • Opportunities to travel for events.
  • Private healthcare coverage.
  • A varied and rewarding culture with regular incentives, awards and recognition for strong performers.
  • The opportunity to help shape the future of a highly competitive sports industry.

Application process

Because of the high number of applications received, individual responses cannot be guaranteed. If you do not hear back within three weeks, it means you have not progressed to the next stage.

Salary

The pay range for this position is £27,000 to £29,000 per year, depending on experience.
