About the company
Ag Emissions is New Zealand’s dedicated research centre focused on agricultural emissions. The organisation shapes, funds, and oversees a national research and development portfolio, strengthens capability and infrastructure, and brings together researchers, government, industry, and international partners to advance solutions for agricultural emissions.
As the organisation grows its profile and stakeholder connections, it is seeking a Marketing & Digital Coordinator to support the communications and digital programme.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, this position contributes to marketing and communications delivery across the organisation.
The role is practical and wide-ranging, with day-to-day work that may include producing social media content, refreshing website pages, creating graphics, assisting with events, building email campaigns, coordinating surveys, or preparing communication materials for research announcements.
You will partner with researchers, programme teams, and external stakeholders to present the organisation’s research, capabilities, collaborations, and impact in a professional and engaging way.
Key responsibilities
Social media and digital marketing
Support growth of the organisation’s online presence by planning, creating, and publishing content across social platforms. You will also review engagement results, monitor performance, and use insights to improve future activity.
Content development and design
Prepare strong visual materials and digital assets using Canva or similar tools to support communications goals. This includes presentations, promotional items, stakeholder updates, and content adapted for different channels, along with support for reports, publications, photography, video, and other multimedia work.
Website and digital channels
Assist with keeping the website and digital platforms current and effective. This includes editing and improving content, supporting SEO and discoverability work, and checking website performance to help increase reach and engagement.
Email marketing and stakeholder communications
Create and send email communications using platforms such as Mailchimp. You will also help with stakeholder engagement activities, survey and feedback coordination, and maintenance of communication databases for accurate outreach.
Events and coordination
Provide communications and coordination support for webinars, conferences, training programmes, and stakeholder events. This includes managing content calendars and campaign timelines, coordinating marketing activities across projects, supporting reporting and administration, and working with the wider Strategy, Impact & Engagement team to deliver successful initiatives.
About you
You are organised, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative. You enjoy design work, moving between digital channels, and handling several deadlines and projects at once.
You are confident creating social content, updating web content, building email campaigns, and coordinating events. Most importantly, you enjoy turning ideas into practical output and take pride in producing work of a high standard.
What we offer
You will join a committed and supportive team in a role where your work has a visible impact. The organisation offers the chance to support world-class science in a meaningful position, along with a culture that values innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Ongoing learning, training, and professional development opportunities.
- A collaborative and inclusive workplace guided by strong organisational values.
