Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Report directly to the skipper and assist with all activities assigned by the skipper and Marine Coordinator.
- Participate actively in all emergencies and drills, responding according to assigned duties and alerting the skipper to any unsafe actions.
- Deliver personalized guest service in line with hotel standards, building strong relationships from guests’ arrival.
- Warmly welcome and greet all guests, managing complaints professionally and escalating serious issues to supervisors or managers.
- Stay informed about hotel facilities, operating hours, internal events, and administrative or operational updates.
- Join daily briefings with the front office team to review tasks and activities.
- Promote morale and maintain positive working relationships within the team.
- Arrive punctually on duty, wearing the proper uniform and name tag, maintaining high standards of personal appearance according to hotel policies.
- Assist guests during arrivals and departures with any necessary help.
- Ensure safety and promotional videos are shown or, if unavailable, present safety instructions personally at trip start and end.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate smooth guest transfers.
- Conduct vessel checklists ensuring cleanliness and tidiness, arranging flowers, water, dates, magazines, and other amenities as required.
- Attend STCW courses or any other external training mandated by company or local regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; diploma preferred.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
- Previous experience in hospitality is advantageous.
