About the Role
Be part of PepsiCo's Concentrate team, a vital global unit that supports beverage, nutrition, and snack categories by sourcing ingredients and producing concentrates for leading brands such as Gatorade, 7Up, and Pepsi. Operating from 16 sites across 9 countries, we drive excellence in manufacturing for over 1,200 recipes. Our Singapore plant plays a crucial role as a manufacturing hub within our network, bringing products to life and fueling consumer satisfaction worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations at the Singapore concentrate plant, balancing strategic initiatives with operational execution.
- Lead health and safety practices rigorously, guaranteeing compliance with site safety systems.
- Fulfill annual manufacturing plans by meeting all Ministry of Health (MOH), CPWU, quality, and service KPIs; manage the operational budget ensuring targets are met or surpassed.
- Collaborate closely with Quality teams to maintain product standards, respond attentively to customer complaints, and successfully pass food safety audits.
- Advance site productivity goals, driving initiatives that yield cost savings and operational improvements.
- Work with People functions to cultivate talent, support operating excellence, and uphold company values centered on integrity and inclusivity.
- Guide and mentor manufacturing supervisors and teams, fostering leadership development and effective performance management.
- Maintain positive labor relations through proactive employee management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, global controls, and local regulatory requirements.
- Execute site-level strategies aligned with PepsiCo's global objectives, including integrating sustainability principles under the Pep+ agenda.
- Promote continuous improvement across cost, quality, service, and people domains.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, particularly with Supply Chain and Engineering, to optimize operational synergies and capital projects.
- Establish sustainable management communication channels and employee engagement initiatives.
- Represent the Singapore plant effectively in global operations forums.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in science, technical field, engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 8 years' proven experience in operations management.
- Strong strategic understanding and general management capability.
- Skilled at managing diverse teams with a diplomatic, inclusive style across various functions.
- Track record of successfully implementing productivity, cost-control, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Creative problem-solving aptitude within technical environments.
- Effective communication skills and ability to develop business cases to support investments.
- Experience leading medium to large-scale projects and managing operational change.
- Capability to comprehend complex technical issues.
- Preferred: Lean/Six Sigma certification and experience in food or beverage manufacturing industries.
