Role Overview

The Transport Management Team oversees first-mile transport activities across Europe, managing daily transport flows alongside carrier partners to guarantee punctual and high-quality deliveries. This role is central to fulfilling the company’s commitment to timely delivery.

As Freight Logistics Operations Manager, you will fully manage your designated carrier portfolio, operate independently within an agile setting, and gain expertise from seasoned logistics professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery by planning, controlling, and monitoring daily transport schedules, and advancing key department metrics such as punctuality and equipment availability.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal teams, carriers, and external stakeholders concerning shipment volumes, capacity, and delivery timelines.
• Secure additional transport resources promptly during volume surges through negotiation and coordination to maintain continuous goods movement.
• Maintain accuracy and current data in the transport management system to support team-wide decision-making.
• Identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies in first-mile transport processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in freight forwarding or transport operations within a logistics environment.
• Proficiency in German at B2 level or higher and business-level English communication skills.
• Proactive work ethic with strong ownership abilities, including early identification and resolution of issues.
• Experience in e-commerce logistics operations is an advantage.
