Role Overview
The Maintenance/Cleaner will be responsible for upholding the cleanliness and orderly condition of residential properties following defined cleaning schedules within the team structure. The role includes performing minor general, preventive, and repair maintenance tasks for one or multiple building complexes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent cooperation, service, and support to residents ensuring their satisfaction.
- Maintain the highest cleaning standards throughout the building.
- Promptly address service requests as they arise.
- Follow the assigned cleaning schedule and complete designated tasks.
- Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment for potential repairs or maintenance needs, reporting findings as necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals, equipment operation, and incident reporting.
- Exhibit adaptability, managing task changes based on building requirements.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies when scheduled on-call.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including using required protective equipment and maintaining a safe environment.
- Carry out general and specialized maintenance and repair tasks under supervision and maintain accurate documentation of activities.
- Complete service requests promptly for both interior and common areas.
- Handle in-suite turnover tasks, encompassing light and heavy maintenance such as appliance repairs, fixture replacements, basic carpentry, and painting.
- Manage routine plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs, and safely operate maintenance tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical, electrical, and supply storage areas.
- Comply with applicable legislation and standards, including Health and Safety laws, WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA, and Human Rights policies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of high school or equivalent general education diploma.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in cleaning and maintenance roles.
- Willingness and flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficient in handling basic hand and power tools.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, and related maintenance skills.

Compensation
The expected annual salary range is between 27000 and 37000 CAD, subject to factors such as experience, education, and internal pay equity.
