Role Overview
The Maintenance Planner is tasked with overseeing, managing, and enhancing the maintenance planning operations at the Medina site. The role entails crafting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance programs for all site assets, ensuring that tasks are conducted timely and completely to sustain asset health, safety, food safety, quality, adherence, and operational excellence. The planner also focuses on optimizing maintenance approaches by adopting Maintenance Excellence Packages, leveraging digital tools, and maintaining cost efficiency throughout asset lifecycles. Modernizing asset maintenance with the latest tech is also a critical responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop thorough routine and extraordinary maintenance schedules for all site assets to uphold reliability and minimize operational interruptions, incorporating Original Equipment Manufacturers’ maintenance recommendations.
- Lead and regulate maintenance planning standards, prioritizing tasks and coordinating shutdown schedules in partnership with production; oversee work order execution and continuous process improvement.
- Coordinate with third-party maintenance vendors and technical store teams to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient maintenance execution.
- Monitor maintenance activities closely to ensure compliance with plans, standards, and regulatory requirements, addressing deviations promptly.
- Continuously review and enhance maintenance routines and plans using Asset & Maintenance Management systems to boost quality and efficiency.
- Manage deployment and governance of Maintenance Excellence Packages, aligning asset performance and costs with expected benefits, and collaborate with category networks for shared improvements.
- Implement digital strategies to boost maintenance effectiveness, including predictive maintenance integration, real-time monitoring, mobile AMM tools, and other relevant technologies.
- Analyze and streamline life cycle costs related to maintenance, work with finance and procurement on budget management, and seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising asset health.
- Support maintenance preparation for capital investments and new production lines by ensuring resource availability and setup of maintenance routines from project inception.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in asset maintenance management and 2-3 years in maintenance operations, preferably within plant settings.
- Proficient understanding of maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance, TPM PM Pillar methodology, and governance.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP and familiarity with related software tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and deliver results on schedule.
