About the Role
Join QBE Insurance as a Claims Adjuster within their Portfolio Solutions team, dedicated to delivering outstanding claims service. You'll assess policy coverage, investigate and evaluate claims, negotiate settlements, and provide support for managing complex claims across diverse insurance categories such as Professional Indemnity, Construction, International Property, Casualty, and Marine & Energy.
Based in Chelmsford, this permanent full-time position offers the chance to work remotely while engaging with a wide variety of claim types, supporting QBE's innovative Portfolio Solutions that provide market-leading capacity to global clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize automation technologies to handle a substantial volume of low-value, multi-class claims efficiently, ensuring processes are both swift and precise.
- Manage claims that require manual intervention with sound judgment and effective problem-solving.
- Prioritize, triage, and process claim files through to their resolution, ensuring economic and equitable settlements and accurate reserving.
- Collaborate proactively with brokers and suppliers to deliver superior service and positive outcomes.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing operational excellence, analytics, and automation within claims handling.
Candidate Profile
- Strong organizational skills to manage daily tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities adaptable to varying audiences.
- Comfortable and proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other technologies, including automation tools.
- A cooperative team player who fosters a positive and inclusive working environment.
- Must have legal eligibility to work in the UK; sponsorship is not offered.
