Library Engagement Assistant - Pacific

About the Role

The University of Otago Library is looking for a Pacific Library Engagement Assistant to join their team in Dunedin. This role focuses on providing outstanding support to Pacific students, assisting them in accessing and utilizing library tools and spaces effectively. You will also contribute to initiatives that enhance learning and academic success for Pacific students.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent service tailored to Pacific students’ needs within the library environment.
• Assist students in navigating library resources and facilities with confidence.
• Collaborate with the Pacific Engagement Advisor and other Pacific stakeholders within the university community.
• Develop and support culturally relevant programs, workshops, and events that resonate with Pacific students.
• Promote library services across campus by implementing effective communication and marketing strategies targeting Pacific communities.

The Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka Library at the University of Otago strives to provide high-quality information resources tailored to a diverse community. The team is committed to delivering responsive and innovative services that contribute positively to the university’s academic environment.

Additional Information

• This is a permanent, full-time position with 37.5 hours per week, based onsite in Dunedin.
• The salary range for this role is NZD 63,508 to 68,185 annually, with a top salary of NZD 73,640 per annum.
