About the Role
This position sits within Linklaters’ Matter Optimisation team, which partners with practice groups to design and deliver high-quality legal solutions for clients. The function brings together several specialist capabilities, including paralegal and support lawyer services, legal technology, legal project management, translation, and the Re:link contract lawyer platform. Together, these teams aim to improve client service, support profitable growth, and align working methods across the firm’s global practice divisions: Corporate, Finance, Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations, and Centres of Excellence.
Role Purpose
- Help implement and deliver transaction tools and legal technology products, including practice-facing automation solutions and the technical upkeep of those systems.
- Increase understanding of, and encourage adoption of, document automation and legal tech tools across the firm.
- Make sure projects and tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, on schedule, and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Contribute to client value and commercial outcomes in line with the firm’s overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deploy automated document assembly solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing automation tools so they remain current and effective.
- Spot opportunities for enhancements, software upgrades, and integrations with other legal technology products.
- Provide specialist guidance on the legal tech tools in the portfolio, including how they can be delivered in integrated ways.
- Work with external vendors to deliver and sustain an improved end-to-end user experience.
- Run training sessions and presentations for practice teams and external clients on how to use the products.
- Support successful rollout and implementation by coordinating the teams involved.
- Promote the firm’s legal technology capabilities and build awareness internally.
- Identify new automation ideas and innovative legal tech solutions that improve client and matter delivery.
- Track product performance, gather feedback from users, and review key metrics regularly.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders across business teams and the practice to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical and structured thinking, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Comfortable influencing stakeholders at different seniority levels and explaining solutions clearly in non-technical terms.
- Prepared to question existing processes and challenge established ways of working where needed.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including confidence in presenting and training others.
- Well organised, with strong time management and prioritisation skills, including in busy periods.
- Collaborative team player with a consultative and inclusive approach.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to excellent client service.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
