About the Role
This role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and involves significant hands-on work with design software and substation layout projects. The position focuses on developing and coordinating detailed 3D models and layouts for electrical substations and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate mechanical and layout designs primarily using Revit and SolidWorks.
- Assist with BIM coordination and provide designs using AutoCAD where necessary.
- Design and arrange substation or STATCOM layouts, including equipment positioning.
- Create assembly and installation drawings, ensuring proper interfaces, clearances, and foundation input requirements are met.
- Contribute to valve structure design, cooling system layout, piping, BOQ preparation, and site installation support as advantageous.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in Revit and SolidWorks for 3D modelling and design tasks.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM coordination processes.
- Experience designing layouts for substations or STATCOM systems, including equipment arrangement and installation documentation.
- Knowledge of valve structures, cooling systems, piping, preparing BOQs, and overseeing site installation is a plus.
Eligibility
