Land Surveyor - Bridge Maintenance Project

Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Execute land and engineering surveys related to bridge maintenance, rehabilitation, and new construction projects.
• Conduct site-based measurements, setting out work, and surveys in alignment with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and coordinate references essential for project execution.
• Perform topographic, alignment verification, leveling, and as-built surveys focused on bridge structures and associated works.
• Generate precise survey documentation, reports, drawings, and maintain comprehensive records of all survey activities.
• Collaborate closely with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and construction teams to ensure surveying accuracy supports project goals.
• Confirm the dimensional accuracy and placement of structural components prior to and during construction operations.
• Operate and service various surveying tools, including but not limited to Total Station, GPS devices, and Auto Levels.
• Ensure that all surveying activities comply strictly with project guidelines, quality benchmarks, and safety protocols.
• Support the creation of as-built drawings and final project documentation deliverables.
• Identify and flag any inconsistencies between on-site conditions and official design drawings promptly.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hold a minimum of five years professional experience as a Land Surveyor within bridge construction, maintenance, infrastructure, or related civil engineering projects in the UAE.
• Demonstrate proven expertise in survey layout and execution for bridges, road networks, and infrastructure schemes.
• Have robust knowledge of surveying methodologies, data calculations, and interpreting engineering technical drawings.
• Experience with infrastructure initiatives in Abu Dhabi is advantageous.
• Must have a valid UAE Driving License and access to a personal vehicle.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in using Total Station, GPS units, Auto Level instruments, and other surveying equipment.
• Experienced with AutoCAD and software tools for processing survey data.
• Capable of reading and understanding detailed engineering designs and specifications.
• Solid grasp of bridge and civil construction processes and standards.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in spatial measurements.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with site personnel and project teams.
• Capable of independently managing surveying tasks with professionalism.
• Knowledgeable about UAE-specific project standards and regulatory requirements.
