Job Overview
The Laboratory Engineer is entrusted with ensuring the safe, effective, and dependable provision of Particle Size Distribution (PSD) services to customers. This role involves identifying opportunities for continuous improvement during service delivery, standardizing work processes, and managing associated risks. The engineer also collaborates directly with customers to implement suitable fluid designs and explore new technological solutions and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Guarantee the accuracy and timely completion of all job deliverables.
- Select advanced additives for fluid designs and advise on process enhancement solutions.
- Develop and execute plans for procedural and process improvements within laboratory and fluid testing areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of laboratory equipment, including regular waste disposal.
- Oversee operation, routine maintenance, and calibration of all laboratory instruments.
- Create technical presentations targeted at both internal teams and external clients.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure laboratory compliance with established standards.
- Provide technical assistance to Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions as necessary.
- Execute Risk Analyses prior to tasks to identify and mitigate safety and quality risks.
- Engage in Service Quality Meetings with customers and implement action plans to enhance service performance.
- Participate actively in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Quality initiatives.
- Adhere to HSE guidelines by wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain all mandatory safety training certifications.
