Laboratory Analyst

About the Role

Wardat Almashreq is seeking a meticulous Laboratory Analyst responsible for carrying out chemical and physical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to confirm adherence to quality standards. The position involves accurate laboratory analyses, calibration and upkeep of equipment, supporting quality control measures, and enhancing lab workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical examinations of raw materials, intermediate samples, and final goods
• Execute qualitative and quantitative testing following established protocols
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory apparatus and instruments
• Ensure results are precise, dependable, and reported promptly
• Document laboratory findings thoroughly and accurately
• Aid quality control by identifying and reporting deviations from standards
• Observe laboratory safety guidelines and sustain cleanliness and order
• Help investigate quality problems and assist in root cause analysis when necessary
• Provide support and training to newly appointed laboratory staff
• Under manager direction, delegate duties to qualified team members to maintain laboratory functions
• Undertake any additional assignments given by management related to the role

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline
• At least one year of experience working in a laboratory setting
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory testing protocols and quality assurance principles
• Proficient with laboratory equipment and analytical instruments
• Effective communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to accuracy and detail
• Time management and organizational capabilities
• Team collaboration and communication skills
• Understanding of laboratory safety practices
