About the Role
QIX Consulting is seeking a Junior Software Tester for a 12-month contract based in Sydney. This position suits candidates with 1 to 3 years of software testing experience eager to advance their QA careers by engaging in enterprise-level projects and gaining practical skills in testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing through execution of test cases and scripts.
- Report, document, and monitor software defects systematically.
- Perform regression testing to verify corrections and fixes.
- Develop and update test cases and related documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and related testing activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- Proven ability in manual testing methodologies.
- Skills in designing and executing effective test cases.
- Experience managing and reporting defects efficiently.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL queries.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum project environments.
- Strong communication abilities and analytical thinking.
