Our primary focus is on organizing events, collaborating across programming, business operations, and administration to deliver a varied lineup of live music, comedy, and nightclub events across India and international locations like Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
Role Overview
As a Junior Live Music & Comedy Booker/Event Producer, you will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and securing talent and managing the full cycle of event bookings from initial contact to post-event settlement. This role involves continuous market research, budgeting, contract negotiations, and developing systems for consistent event improvement. Familiarity with AI tools applicable to event management functions is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market and talent research, identifying emerging artists and relevant cultural trends.
- Engage with artists, agents, and creative teams to pitch and secure bookings, negotiate contracts, manage venue logistics, deposits, and settlements.
- Plan tours and shows by creating business and marketing strategies, developing itineraries, routing, and managing scheduling.
- Build and monitor event budgets and profit and loss statements, handle invoices and manage expenses comprehensively.
- Maintain clear communications with artists, venues, and vendors throughout all event stages, including managing technical riders.
- Oversee marketing efforts including announcements, ticketing, campaign coordination, and leveraging influencer and industry partnerships to maximize attendance.
- Design and maintain templates and tracking systems to streamline booking, budgeting, and reporting processes; conduct post-event evaluations for continual improvement.
- Coordinate on-site logistics such as staffing and technical support, and manage administrative tasks like contracts and invoicing.
Candidate Profile
- More than two years of experience in live music/comedy booking, event production, venue booking, promotion, or artist management in a professional or independent capacity.
- A deep passion for live music and comedy with the ability to spot and cultivate emerging talent.
- Experience managing tours end-to-end, including venue scouting, routing, scheduling, and execution across cities or countries.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for budgeting and financial oversight, coupled with commercial acumen and eagerness to expand financial management capabilities.
- Working knowledge of live event technical elements such as lighting, sound, and audiovisual equipment.
- Excellent negotiation, written and verbal communication skills, and a talent for relationship building.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Understanding of marketing and audience engagement, comfortable analyzing data to enhance reach and success.
- Broad familiarity with a variety of artists across different genres and markets, with active engagement in popular culture trends.
Additional Information
The position is primarily remote with requirements to work across different time zones and occasional travel. Salary will be determined based on experience.
