Role overview
This contract opportunity is for a Junior FreeCAD Designer focused on 3D modeling work that supports AI training initiatives. The role is fully remote and calls for a flexible weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours.
Compensation
Pay for this assignment ranges from $20 to $110 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve 3D models in FreeCAD while working alongside the client’s team for AI training use cases.
- Carefully interpret design instructions and technical requirements, then translate them into accurate model output.
- Share practical observations on model quality and how usable the models are for AI learning workflows.
- Record the modeling approach and methods used so the process can be handed over clearly within the project.
- Keep communication clear in both writing and conversation when clarifying needs or sharing updates.
- Revise designs based on review comments so the final models align with project goals and quality expectations.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in 3D modeling and design work using FreeCAD.
- Strong precision and a careful approach to geometric detail.
- Good written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas in simple terms.
- Comfort with following technical directions and adjusting to changing project requirements.
- Basic knowledge of engineering or design principles.
