Junior Data Scientist

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Junior Data Scientists to join our expanding consulting team. This position suits recent graduates or professionals early in their career who have a strong interest in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and deriving data-driven insights for decision-making. Candidates must be willing to relocate as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and preprocess both structured and unstructured data for analysis.
• Create and apply machine learning models to address various business challenges.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, recurring patterns, and actionable insights.
• Design and validate predictive models using suitable statistical evaluation methods.
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards to effectively share outcomes with stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with data engineers, software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to implement data-driven solutions.
• Enhance machine learning models to boost their scalability, precision, and overall performance.
• Adhere to best practices in software development, including version control and Agile approaches.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
• Between 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in data science, software development, analytics, machine learning, or similar technical areas.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, or equivalents.
• Strong foundational knowledge in statistics, probability, linear algebra, and machine learning principles.
• Experience with data analysis libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or similar tools.
• Understanding of SQL, relational database concepts, and data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
• Exposure to machine learning libraries or frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or XGBoost is desirable but not mandatory.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
• Must be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA for paid training and be prepared to travel or relocate as necessary to work onsite with clients across the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internships, academic projects, or personal initiatives involving data science, AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics.
• Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with development environments such as Jupyter Notebook or Google Colab.
• Understanding and experience working within Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
