Junior Contracts Analyst (1 year fixed term contract)

Position Overview

This role of Junior Contracts Analyst is a fixed term contract focused on supporting the entire deal lifecycle. The main objective is to ensure contracts for all commodities are prepared and delivered efficiently, and that the trade data recorded in the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system aligns correctly with the issued or received contracts. This includes verifying broker confirmations and contracts from counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle primarily standardized deals or those governed by a master trading agreement by performing deal pre-validations and validations, issuing contracts using provided templates, and reviewing and accepting contracts from counterparties.
• Report any contract-related issues or discrepancies to more experienced or senior analysts promptly.
• Guarantee the correctness of internal trade data records.
• Cross-check transactions against trader summaries, broker confirmations, and counterparty contracts to ensure consistency.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and counterparty contacts to resolve any differences in contract details.
• Maintain detailed records of both internal and external contractual communications.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, a related discipline, or a legal degree with a focus on trading.
• Prior experience in contract administration, including issuing and accepting contracts.
• Familiarity with wholesale or trading contracts.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office at an advanced level.
• Strong English legal drafting capabilities.
• Preferably possesses knowledge of Incoterms.
