Job Overview

The Janitor role entails comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within one or more buildings or client properties. Duties vary based on client needs, requiring flexibility and adaptability in performing assigned tasks. Working hours are from 4 PM to 11 PM.

Key Duties

• Clear and sanitize all waste receptacles and transport waste materials to designated disposal areas, wiping containers as needed.
• Empty and clean ashtrays, monitor sand urn supplies and refill when necessary.
• Dust decorative items including framed images, charts, graphs, and other wall hangings.
• Perform damp dusting of ceiling and air conditioning vents, partitions, and other ventilation grilles.
• Vacuum mats and carpeting throughout offices, lobbies, and hallways.
• Dust and clean office furniture, filing units, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and all flat surfaces by hand.
• Wipe and polish metal hardware and bright fixtures.
• Clean and maintain tiled floors as required.
• Buff and wipe glass furnishings and entry door glass on both interior and exterior sides.
• Remove stains from vertical surfaces like doors, door frames, light switches, glass dividers, and private entrance glass.
• Sanitize and clean water coolers thoroughly.
• Sweep and vacuum private staircases.
• Mop and sweep building floors as needed.
• Sanitize and restock bathroom supplies regularly.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and follow both written and oral instructions.
• At least six months of janitorial experience is required.
