About the Role
This opportunity is with a well-established IT solutions and technology service provider that delivers extensive infrastructure and technical support to clients both locally and internationally. The role is based in Alverstone and centered around providing first-line IT support, primarily remotely, while occasionally handling onsite issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for incoming IT support requests.
- Efficiently troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking problems.
- Support users with Microsoft products including Windows OS, Office 365 suite, Teams, and Outlook.
- Manage password resets, user account creation, and access permissions.
- Log, update, and maintain support tickets systematically.
- Perform onsite technical assistance and basic network cabling tasks when necessary.
Requirements
- Demonstrated prior experience in a first-line IT technical support position.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows, Office 365, Teams, Outlook.
- Basic familiarity with server and firewall environments, notably FortiGate and UniFi.
- Fluency in verbal and written English communication, essential for liaising with UK-based clients.
- Possession of a valid driver's license along with a dependable personal vehicle.
- Residency near the Upper Highway area is strongly preferred.

- Strong problem-solving skills combined with patience in troubleshooting.
- Comfortable working from a home office setting where there are dogs on-site.
Compensation and Selection
Monthly salary ranges from R10,000 to R16,000 cost to company. Only candidates shortlisted for the role will be contacted.
