Overview
The IT Executive plays a critical role in maintaining and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes managing network systems, servers, cloud platforms, and providing technical assistance to users to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and troubleshoot MacBook systems.
- Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining networking devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Resolve network issues related to connectivity, security, and performance promptly.
- Conduct regular network monitoring to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Manage network components including VLANs, IP routing, subnets, and VPN setups.
- Support the setup and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and cloud networks.
- Oversee configuration and troubleshooting of database storage and cloud servers.
- Contribute to network security by assisting in firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN configuration.
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in activities to optimize network performance and plan capacity.
- Support network access control management and analyze network traffic.
- Provide end-user support for network issues both remotely and onsite.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth network system integration and operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in IT support, networking, and system administration.
- Practical knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting MacBook devices.
- Strong understanding of networking principles including LAN, WAN, VLANs, IP routing, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience managing servers, database storage, and cloud infrastructures.
- Familiarity with network security standards and troubleshooting techniques.
- Competent in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with technical teams.
