Role Overview
This position requires specialized knowledge in gaming investments and deal facilitation within the Investor and Startup Program frameworks. The primary focus is the creation and management of investment initiatives that position the Gaming event as the premier investment gathering globally within its sector. Additionally, this role supports investor programming across Tahaluf's wider event portfolio where sector expertise and investor connections enhance value. The role is integral to investor engagement, crafting a superior investor experience across events.
Gaming Investment Program Responsibilities
- Develop innovative investment programs and deal-making models to attract global investors, publishers, and funds for the gaming conference, setting industry standards for capital and talent integration events.
- Establish and manage a gaming investment pipeline, identifying key players such as gaming venture capitalists, publisher venture branches, sovereign gaming funds, angel investor networks, and accelerators, performing precise outreach.
- Oversee investor application and qualification processes to confirm fund authenticity, strategic alignment, and intent to engage with gaming startups.
- Create content and formats for gaming investment activities including reverse pitches, buyer-hosting schemes, exclusive investor roundtables, and live deal showcases.
- Collaborate with B2B content producers to ensure investment content is authoritative, up-to-date, and attracts top-tier participants.
- Design an end-to-end premium investor experience encompassing lounges, curated sessions, concierge meetings, and exclusive investor programs.
- Lead the investor matchmaking process with internal teams, ensuring high-quality and relevant connections.
- Manage investor communications, logistical matchmaking support, and onsite facilitation to deliver meaningful investment outcomes rather than simple introductions.
- Monitor and report quantitative outcomes of investment initiatives including initiated deals, committed capital, and subsequent meetings.
Cross-Portfolio Investor Support
- Provide support to investor programs across other investor and startup events, leveraging investor connections and sector insight to enrich programming.
- Assist marketing and cross-functional units in investor outreach campaigns across events.
- Offer program support during peak pre-event and live phases to senior team members.
- Curate well-balanced, top-quality investor groups tailored to each event’s thematic focus and strategic aims.
- Organize investor-focused roundtables, limited partner introductions, and deal-flow sessions alongside special value program teams.
- Maintain comprehensive and current investor records, detailing fund specifics, investment strategies, engagement history, and feedback.
- Track key performance metrics such as investor attendance, assets under management, meetings conducted, investment leads, and investor satisfaction scores.
- Conduct post-event reviews with investors to collect feedback and suggest improvements.
- Foster sustained investor relationships throughout the year to ensure continued engagement for future editions.
- Innovate new value-added investor program features and develop concept proposals for upcoming events.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in investor relations, investor program management, or VC/LP engagement, preferably within event management, startup ecosystems, or the gaming sector.
- Proven expertise in the gaming investment ecosystem including venture capitalists, publisher venture arms, sovereign funds, and angel networks focused on gaming.
- Experienced in crafting and managing immersive investor engagements beyond registration and logistics.
- A strong network across the gaming and technology investment community, especially in MENA, APAC, or Europe.
- Solid understanding of the gaming investment lifecycle from early accelerator stages to sovereign-backed funding.
- Additional familiarity with sectors such as cybersecurity and fintech considered beneficial for supporting other portfolios.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for maintaining high-level investor relationships with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent events involving diverse investors, geographic regions, and sectors.
- Proficient with investor management platforms, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and event systems.
- Fluent written English required; Arabic language skills advantageous.
